Notes

  • At least one author of each accepted paper (including the workshop paper) must be registered as Regular registration by Jan 7th, 2019.
  • All accepted papers must be registered as Regular registration. If multiple papers are accepted, each paper SHOULD be registered as Regular registration.
  • Regular Conference+Workshops registration includes reception and banquet. Regular Workshops-Only registration does not include reception and banquet.
    • For On-site registration participants, please be noticed that we may not be able to guarantee the banquet if there is no space.
  • Student Conference+Workshops registration includes: reception. Please note that Student registration does not include banquet.
  • Additional banquet ticket: 10,000 JPY.

Refund Policy

  • 75% refund for cancellations made by 23:59 Jan 25th, 2019 (JST).
  • 50% refund for cancellations made by Feb 15th, 2019.
  • No refund for any cancellations received after Feb 16th, 2019.
  • There will be no refund for authors of accepted papers, as well as no show.

    • VISA

    Depending on your nationality, a visa may be required to enter Japan. Nationals of countries and areas with visa exemption arrangements with Japan are found at: http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/short/novisa.html

    Visa rules are complicated and may change at short notice. You can find further information regarding visas by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan at: http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/index.html

    Attendees requiring an entry visa should inquire at their local Japanese embassy or consulate regarding the required visa and documents. We advise you to apply for your visa as soon as possible, as visa application may take a while.

    BigComp 2019 organizers can provide official letters of invitation to persons who have completed the registration and for which payment has been received. If you need an invitation letter, please request it via the online registration form by 23:59 Jan 25th, 2019 (JST). Concerning visas, we will basically support only the authors of accepted papers. If you are not the author of accepted papers, but need invitation letter, please contact bigcomp2019-contact at db.soc.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp before the registration.
